Nursery Class - Funded Hours

15 funded hours

All children are eligible for 15 free hours of education, the term after their third birthday. We can offer 15 hours to support children and families, subject to availability. When applying for a place you will be asked for a preference from the following options:

3o funded hours

We provide a number of places to meet the 30-hour offer for working parents. If you think you may be eligible for 30 funded hours of childcare, please click on childcare choices.  

You will need to bring the 11 digit code with you when applying for a 30 hour nursery place.

We offer 30 hours in the following way:

If your child stays for a full day you will need to provide a packed lunch. At lunch time the children remain in the nursery class and are cared for by the nursery staff. During afterschool club, the children might stay in the nursery class or go to the community room and will be cared for by nursery class staff.

From 8.30am – 11.30am and 12.30pm – 3.30pm children will be in the nursery classroom.

Key criteria for 30 hour funding:

• Parent(s) must be in work, earning less than £100,000 a year
• Each parent must be earning at least the minimum wage for 16 hours a week
• Parents in receipt of incapacity, caring or limited capability for work benefits
• A child becomes eligible from the beginning of the term after their third birthday. Parents must supply a 30 hour code
• Deadline for application is the last day of the month before a new term starts:

     31st March, 31st August, 31st December.
